One cracked fitting costs more than the whole kit
Water left in a pump, a tankless heater or a low point line freezes, expands and splits it. Spring then starts with a flooded floor. An afternoon in September prevents it.
The job, in order
- Drain — fresh tank, water heater, low-point drains. Water heater bypass valve, $43 so antifreeze doesn't fill the heater.
- Blow out or bypass — RV Winterizing Kit with blowout adapter, $22.40, or 3-way pump converter kit, $23.20 to pull antifreeze through the lines.
- Protect the battery — a lithium bank sitting at 100% or 0% for four months ages fast. Victron Blue Smart IP65 charger, $52.50 on storage mode, or disconnect and store at 50–60%.

- Seal against drafts and pests — foam, vent covers, faucet cover for the outside shower.
