Installation and care
Mount the extinguisher where it can be reached from the door without stepping past the likely fire sources — the galley and the electrical bay — and fix the bracket into solid framing rather than the wall skin alone. Check the pressure gauge before every trip and give the unit a light shake so the contents do not compact. Note the manufacture date and follow the service interval printed on the cylinder; an extinguisher is a use-once item, so replace it after any discharge, even a partial one.
