The black steel hinge that carries a door on a Black Series HQ camper. Corrugated roads work hinges loose and the pivot wears over years of use, which shows up as a door that drops, rubs on the frame, or no longer lines up with the lock. Owners replace it when the door will not swing cleanly, when a hinge leaf has bent after the wind caught the door.

Installation and care
Support the door and swap hinges one at a time so it never hangs on a single hinge. Fit the fasteners into clean holes; if a screw hole has stripped, repair it before fitting the new hinge or the door will sag again. Adjust so the door closes square to the seal and latches without lifting. Put a drop of light oil on the pivot a couple of times a year and check the screws after long corrugated sections.
