The Y-hitch receiver is the drawbar-side mount that the Black Series off-road coupling bolts to on HQ Series campers. Its Y shape spreads the tow load across two mounting points on the chassis instead of one, which adds lateral stability and takes strain off the frame during tight turns and articulated off-road movement. Owners replace it after impact damage, when the mounting holes have elongated, or when rust has taken hold under the coating. Heavy-duty steel with a powder-coat finish, and a direct factory replacement for all HQ Series models.

Installation and care
Use new fasteners of the same grade as the originals and torque them to spec, then re-check after the first trip on rough roads. Inspect the welds and mounting points whenever you check the coupling for play. Touch up any chips in the powder coat promptly so rust cannot start underneath, and rinse off salt after coastal trips.
