The lower bunk base in an HQ17 carries a sleeper, a mattress, and usually a pile of gear, and it is the panel most likely to crack at a fixing point or delaminate if a spill gets under the mattress. This genuine Black Series replacement base is finished in white to match the original HQ17 bunk, so it installs cleanly for a repair, a renovation, or a custom interior build.

What you get
One lower bunk base for the HQ17 in white, sold individually. The lower bunk floor framing beneath it is listed separately.
Installation and care
Take the mattress and bedding out and photograph the old base before removing it, noting which screws go into the framing and which into the wall. Check the framing underneath for damage or looseness while the base is out; a base fixed to a weak frame will crack again. Fix the new base with screws driven snug, not forced, so the white surface is not dimpled. Lift the mattress every few trips to let the base air out, since trapped condensation is the main reason bunk bases fail.
