The locking drawer slide is the genuine Black Series slide fitted to the cabinetry of HQ Series campers. Its lock keeps the drawer shut while the camper is moving, so drawers cannot fly open over corrugations and empty themselves on the floor, then releases for smooth sliding at camp. Owners replace a slide when the lock no longer holds, the bearings have filled with dust and grind, or the rail has bent from an overloaded drawer.

Installation and care
Measure your existing slide in the closed position before ordering and confirm the cabinet depth allows the same length. Mount the slide square to the cabinet side, snug the screws, and test that the drawer locks and releases before loading it. Blow dust out of the bearing track after dusty trips and keep the lock mechanism free of grit; a slide that gets stiff is usually dirty rather than worn.
