A worn mixing valve shows up as water that swings from scalding to cold at the sink or shower. This hot/cold mixing valve blends the two supplies for safe, consistent temperature output at sinks, showers, and outdoor faucets. The body is a lead-free, copper-free alloy, and it is a drop-in replacement for most RV thermostatic mixing valves, which makes it a sensible fix before a full plumbing rebuild.
Compatibility
Universal 1/2 in NPT fit: Black Series (HQ12, HQ15, HQ17, HQ19, HQ21, HQ22T), MDC, and all standard RV and caravan water systems with 1/2 in NPT connections.
What you get
One mixing valve with three 1/2 in NPT ports: hot inlet, cold inlet, and mixed outlet. Order SKU RVP-00082.
Installation and care
Turn off the water pump and city-water supply and open a faucet to drain pressure before you remove the old valve. Note which port is hot, cold, and mixed on the old unit, then fit the new one with fresh thread sealant on the NPT connections. Run water and check every joint for weeping before closing up the cabinet. If you winterize, drain the valve along with the rest of the system.
