The Victron Galvanic Isolator VDI blocks low-voltage galvanic currents on the shore-power ground connection while still allowing safety ground faults to pass, helping protect boats and RVs from galvanic corrosion at the dock or campground. It is a straightforward, inline device that guards underwater metals and grounded hardware against slow electrolytic damage.
Available in VDI-16, VDI-32, and VDI-64 ratings, it can be matched to the shore connection size of the installation. Designed for split-phase setups, it is an inexpensive but important safeguard in any marine or mobile system that regularly connects to external AC power.
