Fix a Leaking or Failing RV Water System
Find the symptom, get the part
Water problems on a camper are almost always one of six things. Work down the list; each one names the part.
Pump runs every few minutes with no tap open. A pressure leak: usually a loose fitting at the pump, a split low-point drain, or a leaking toilet valve. Start with fittings for the water pump, $18 and hose clamps. Full diagnosis: RV water pump cycling.
Water around the fill inlet. The gravity fill on Black Series campers seals with a foam gasket that hardens. Replace the Black Series OEM Water Inlet, $80 — fits HQ12–HQ21, TH19, TH22, Dominator.
No hot water, or the heater won't light. Check the water heater bypass valve, $43 isn't still in winter position. If the unit itself has failed, the tankless water heater, $380 is the OEM replacement.
Tank reads empty or full all the time. RV water tank level gauge, $34.
Tank is cracked or the straps have let go. Stainless drinking water tank, 16 gal, $381 and support bars for tank, $50; universal 10-gallon and 19-gallon tanks for other rigs.
Faucet drips or the outside shower leaks. Pump faucet, $100 (OEM) · RV exterior quick-connect shower faucet, $66 · Dometic fold-down galley faucet, $126.99.

Winter is the usual cause
If the leak appeared in spring, the line froze. Winterize properly this fall, or book the Winterization Service, $183.20.
