Engel makes hard and soft coolers for people who keep food and drinks cold away from a fridge: the campsite next to the trailer, the truck bed, the boat and the trail. The rotomolded coolers are the heavy-duty end of the range, the dry boxes keep ice in and dust and water out, and the welded soft coolers and backpacks carry the day's food when you walk away from the rig.

High-performance rotomolded coolers (25 to 320): seamless rotomolded shells with 2 inches of closed-cell foam and a silicone gasket, dry ice compatible, IGBC certified bear resistant and backed by Engel's 10-year warranty. Start with the Engel 35, Engel 65 or Engel 123.
UC dry box coolers (7.5 to 30 qt): airtight, leak-proof injection-molded boxes with an EVA gasket and shoulder strap that double as dry boxes for electronics and emergency kits, with a 5-year warranty. See the UC30 and UC19.
UL60 UltraLite: a lighter injection-molded 60 qt cooler with a wire basket and divider.
Welded soft coolers and backpacks: the HD20 and HD30 totes and the BP25 roll-top backpack have welded rather than sewn seams.

Which Engel cooler size do I need?

How long do Engel coolers hold ice?

For its rotomolded coolers, Engel rates the Engel 25 at up to 8 days of ice retention and the 35 through 320 at up to 10 days. Real results depend on the sun, how full the cooler is and how often it is opened.

Are Engel coolers bear resistant?

Engel's rotomolded coolers are IGBC certified bear-resistant containers, with the certification molded on the rear of the lid. Check the local food-storage rules too, which may also call for locks.

What warranty do Engel coolers have?

Per Engel: 10 years on the rotomolded coolers, 5 years on the UC dry box and live bait coolers (30 days on the included live bait pump), 2 years on the AP4 XL aerator and 1 year on the HD20, HD30 and BP25 soft coolers.

Should I get a cooler or a 12V fridge?
