Collection: Jackery Expansion Batteries

Jackery expansion batteries add capacity to a HomePower or Explorer Plus station without buying a second unit: plug the pack in and the station treats it as its own storage. Each Battery Pack fits specific stations only, so match it to yours with the table below. Every pack ships from our warehouse in Upland, California, free to the lower 48 states, with Jackery's warranty. See the full Jackery range for the stations themselves.

Which Battery Pack fits which Jackery

Expansion battery Capacity Fits Packs per station
Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 2,048Wh LiFePO4 HomePower 2000 Plus v2, HomePower 1000 Plus v2 Up to 5 (about 12kWh on the 2000 Plus v2, 11kWh on the 1000 Plus v2)
Battery Pack 3600 3,584Wh LiFePO4 HomePower 3600 Plus, HomePower 3600 Pro Max Up to 5 (21.5kWh); 10 across two paralleled stations (43kWh)
Battery Pack 5000 Plus 5,040Wh LiFePO4 Explorer 5000 Plus only Stack packs to take a system toward 60kWh
Battery Pack 2000 Plus 2,042.8Wh Explorer 2000 Plus (the older station, not the HomePower 2000 Plus v2) Up to 5 (12.256kWh); 10 across two paralleled stations

The packs charge through the station they are connected to, from AC or solar, and the station's display shows the combined capacity.

Jackery expansion battery questions

Can I add a battery to an Explorer 1000 v2, 1500 v2 or 2000 v2?

No. Those stations have no expansion port and Jackery lists no compatible pack; there is no adapter that adds one. If you expect to want more storage later, start with a HomePower 1000 Plus v2, 2000 Plus v2, 3600 Plus, 3600 Pro Max or an Explorer 5000 Plus, which all expand.

Is a Battery Pack cheaper than a second station?

Usually, and it is the better buy anyway: a pack has no inverter of its own, so it is lighter and the capacity pools on one display, while two stations cannot share a load. Two HomePower 3600 Plus units can be paralleled with the Jackery Connector for more output, and each still takes its own packs.

Does an expansion battery need its own solar panel?

No. Solar goes into the station and the station charges the packs. A bigger bank just takes longer to refill, so size the panels to the whole system; see Jackery solar panels for each station's solar limit.

What is the FridgeGuard Battery Pack?

A small backup battery for Jackery's FridgeGuard fridge-backup system, not a station expansion pack. It does not fit the Explorer or HomePower stations.

Found it cheaper? We'll beat it. Not sure which station you own? Reply to your order email or contact us with the model and we will confirm the right pack.
