Bare burners work, but a layer of lava stone makes a propane fire look more like a wood campfire. FireCan Rocks are 5 lbs of natural tumbled lava rock sized to sit over the FireCan burners. The stone breaks up the flame so it varies and moves for a more natural look.
A quick safety note for first use. Volcanic rock can hold moisture and may crack or pop if it heats too fast. Bring the heat up slowly and keep it low at first so any trapped moisture can escape. Want a different look? Ignik also offers blown-ceramic Moon Rocks for the FireCan.
