The stainless steel sensor that tells the control or alarm system on a Black Series HQ camper whether the entry door is open or closed. It sits in an exposed spot on the door where it sees dust and water every trip, and a failed sensor shows up as a door warning that will not clear, an alarm that will not arm, or a status that does not change when the door moves. Owners replace it when cleaning the contacts no longer fixes the fault.

Installation and care
Switch off the 12V supply before unplugging the old sensor, and photograph the wiring so the new one goes back the same way. Mount the sensor in the same position as the original so it registers the door correctly; a door that has sagged on its hinges is often the real cause of a false open reading, so check door alignment at the same time. Seal the wire entry against water, and wipe the sensor face clean whenever you wash the camper.
