The electric single entrance step extends automatically when you open the door and retracts for travel, keeping it tucked away from rocks and improving ground clearance on the track. It is a genuine Black Series replacement for HQ Series campers, built from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum. Owners replace the unit when the motor stops responding, the step no longer retracts fully, or the mechanism has been bent by an impact. Black Series part number EXT23.

What you get

Installation and care
Disconnect the trailer battery before working on the wiring. Bolt the step to the existing mounting points and connect it to the 12 V circuit that fed the old step, observing polarity. Before each trip, confirm the step is fully retracted; towing with it extended is the most common way these get damaged. Keep the slide mechanism free of dust and grit, and if the step becomes sluggish, check the connector for corrosion before replacing the motor.
