The Renogy 40A DC-DC battery charger with MPPT charges a house battery from the vehicle alternator and from solar panels, so a van, truck camper, trailer or overland build can gain charge while driving and keep gaining it while parked. The 40A rating puts it toward larger house banks and longer daily drives. This one takes a solar input as well as an alternator input, so a single box covers both charging paths, and the MPPT stage does the work of getting the most out of the array.
