A thermal circuit breaker protects a DC circuit and can be reset rather than replaced, which is why these Renogy breakers turn up between panels, charge controllers, batteries and inverters in RV, van, trailer and off-grid wiring. Three ratings are offered so you can size the breaker to the circuit you are protecting. Sizing a breaker to the circuit it protects, rather than to the largest device on the system, is what keeps a fault local.
