Where can I buy Victron gear in the USA from an authorized dealer?
Victron does not sell to end users. Every unit reaches you through a dealer or distributor, and that is not just a sales arrangement: it decides who is responsible when something fails. So the question of where to buy is really a question of which dealer you want standing behind the hardware for the next five years.
Why the dealer matters more than the price
Victron's limited warranty is a warranty between Victron and its direct customers, the dealers and distributors. The policy states that end users have no rights under it towards Victron directly. Instead, the dealer passes an identical warranty to you, and claims are made at the place of purchase. Your warranty is only as good as the dealer you bought from.
That is why the forums fill with owners whose marketplace seller vanished, or whose unit was never registered against a real dealer. The hardware was fine. The support chain was not.
Two more details from the policy worth knowing before you buy:
- Most products carry five years from your purchase, but with a ceiling of 66 months from the date of Victron's own invoice to the dealer. Old stock quietly costs you warranty.
- The warranty does not cover de-installation, transport or re-installation. On a unit wired into an RV, that labour is on you, which is one more reason to buy from someone who will actually process a claim.
The 120 V trap
Victron builds most AC products in two versions: 120 V / 60 Hz for North America and 230 V / 50 Hz for Europe and Australia. A 230 V MultiPlus powers up happily from a battery and then cannot accept US shore power or feed US outlets. Marketplace listings frequently do not say which version ships. Before ordering anywhere, confirm the model is the 120 V line, with NEMA plugs and UL options where they apply.
What to ask any dealer
- Is it an authorized Victron dealer, and will it handle a warranty claim itself?
- Is the unit physically in stock in the US, or drop-shipped on a weeks-long lead time?
- Is it the 120 V version, stated in writing?
- Will someone check your sizing before you pay?
How we answer those
RV Parts Giant is an authorized Victron Energy dealer. We stock the 120 V range in our warehouse in Upland, California, and ship it free within the US. Every product title states the voltage. We spec Victron systems for off-road trailers daily, so send us your loads, battery bank and alternator details and we will sanity-check the sizing before you order. If you find a Victron product cheaper at another US dealer, tell us and we will beat it.
Start with the parts most RV builds are built around: the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, a SmartSolar MPPT, a SmartShunt and the Cerbo GX MK2 that ties them together.
