FOX FAQ

How do I find the right FOX shock for my truck?

Measure your lift at the front and at the rear, then pick the part FOX lists for your make, model, year, drive type and that lift range. Each listing shows the exact fitments and any notes, such as "Requires Upper Control Arm".

Are FOX shocks sold individually or in pairs?

Performance Series shocks are almost all sold individually, so order two per axle. Performance Elite truck shocks and most Factory Race kits are sold as pairs.

What do 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 mean?

The shock body's diameter in inches. It is not the lift height. FOX says a 2.5 in body has 23% more surface area than a 2.0 in body, so it sheds heat faster.

What is DSC?

Dual Speed Compression: two adjusters for low-speed and high-speed compression damping, found on Performance Elite and many Factory Race shocks. FOX's factory setting is three clicks from fully open on both.

Which FOX shocks suit a truck that tows or carries a camper?

A Performance shock in your lift band is the simple bolt-on choice, and FOX pitches its 2.5 Performance at trucks hauling payloads. A Performance Elite pair adds adjustment for changing loads. See the heavy-duty truck guide above.

Where are FOX shocks made?

FOX's product data lists the USA as the country of origin for every shock, stabilizer and control arm we carry.

Which FOX shocks fit my truck?

Our FOX truck and SUV listings name the make, model, years, position (front or rear) and lift height from FOX's fit guide. Find your truck in our FOX collection and match the lift range before you order. Built-to-length race shocks list their dimensions instead of a vehicle.

Are FOX shocks sold as a pair?

It depends on the part. The title says Pair when two units are included; otherwise the shock is sold individually.
