The Safe-T-Alert 85 Series is MTI's universal replacement CO and propane alarm. Its trim ring covers existing screw holes and lets the slim, low-profile unit fit into the cutout left by an older detector, so it upgrades a single 12 V propane alarm to a dual alarm that detects both propane and carbon monoxide. An alarm mute button silences it while you ventilate, and the rapid-recovery sensor resets or re-alarms if dangerous gas is still present.
It runs on the RV's 12 V supply, so there are no batteries to replace. It is built for the RV environment and suits Class A, B and C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, truck and folding campers.

Will it fit my RV?
- Replaces: MTI's universal CO and propane alarm. MTI says its universal bracket allows replacement of almost all alarms on the market, including Safe-T-Alert, Atwood, CCI and Dometic. Not on MTI's list for the Atwood 31011; measure first.
- Size: 7 x 4 x 1 in with the trim ring, which covers old screw holes and fits a previous cutout.
- Pick this if your old alarm is not on any cross reference, or you want to upgrade a propane-only alarm to CO + propane.
