Ultrafast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Especially in case of a clouded sky, when light intensity is changing continuously, an ultra-fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30 % compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10 % compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Outstanding conversion efficiency
No cooling fan. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98 %. Full output current up to 40 °C (104 °F).
Flexible charge algorithm
Fully programmable charge algorithm and eight pre-programmed algorithms, selectable with a rotary switch.
Extensive electronic protection
Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high. PV short circuit and PV reverse polarity protection. PV reverse current protection.
Internal temperature sensor
Compensates absorption and float charge voltage for temperature.
Fully discharged battery recovery function
Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with integrated disconnect function.

What size system it fits
- 100/30: 30 A charge, uses up to 440 W of panel at 12 V (880 W at 24 V).
- 100/50: 50 A charge, up to 700 W at 12 V (1,400 W at 24 V).
- Keep the array's cold-weather open-circuit voltage under 100 V (Victron suggests a 10% margin). Max panel short-circuit current: 35 A / 60 A.
What you also need
- A battery fuse: 35–40 A for the 100/30, 55–70 A for the 100/50 (Victron manual).
- A VE.Direct cable only if you connect a GX device.
