The Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus is a 3,840Wh LFP power station with 6,000W of AC output at 120V or 240V, enough for loads from a fridge to central AC. It takes up to 3,200W of solar through dual MPPT inputs (11-165V), which Anker says recharges it in under 2 hours in good sun, and it can be expanded with BP3800 batteries for multi-day backup.

For RVs and EVs it has NEMA TT-30 and L14-30 outputs. It also supports 240V bypass charging from a wall outlet or a pure-sine gas generator, and is monitored from the Anker app. Note that the 240V output cannot be used while the unit is charging from 120V AC. It rolls on built-in wheels and weighs 136.7 lb.

Arbitration of utility cost

I already have the Anker smart home panel and the sub panel powering my home critical loads and decided to extend that autonomy to allow for arbitration of my home power consumption by adding another F3800 plus and two my extension batteries. So far no complaints, I have solar as well for emergencies.

I didn’t want solar on my roof and the anker F3800 plus was the perfect solution

I like how easy it is to set up; I was a little worried at first but after getting the Anker F3800 Plus and seeing how well it worked, I purchased another F3800 Plus. Having four input ports for solar power is a definite plus. The Smart Panel with the subpanel works as expected, Great! The installation service was excellent.

It's perfect

It's perfect. I can replace my gas backup generator with this and keep it right on my enclosed back porch. And run the hookup for the solar panel right out the window. I used to have to drag my generator out of the porch to run it during a power outage. Not anymore. And my backup power hookup is right on the back porch. And I can still use my generator as a backup charger if needed.

An Overall Happy Customer

The purchase process was smooth. My order arrived in three separate deliveries, but quickly. I didn't realize the F3800 plus does not ship with the connection cord for the Home Power Panel. I had to purchase the connection cord from a different vendor.

F3800 Plus review after 2 weeks

This is my first home battery. I live in Florida, so the main reason for the purchase was for temporary power during an emergency. But I did want to use it in the meantime. I am happy with this battery. It is very easy to use. But the manual did not help. I was able to make it work because what I have learned doing research for the product. Better instructions are necessary. It came with the 400W portable panels. The highest input so far has been 305W. That was only once. Generally it charges at around 240W. I can add 25% to the battery in a day using these panel. I am surprised by the amount of adjustments I need to make in a day to keep it aligned with the sun. Maybe this is because I live in south Florida? But I change the direction more than 180 degrees each day And the angle from nearly upright in the morning to almost flat and then back upright by the end of the day. The kick stands and straps work great for this. I built a cart to more the panels around and it works well. I did charge my Tesla Model Y once with this, so I know it works. But I was only able to add 15 miles to the car battery with the Anker nearly 100% full. So not worth the effort. I do use the battery to charge my power tool and yard equipment batteries. I also use it to power my water heater circulation pump. I have a solar hot water tank. I don't like how much the unit uses in standby mode. I accidently left it on one night and it used about 50% of the battery. Also if the unit is off, it will not connect to the internet. I would like to know the status without having to turn it on, but at least I know that it is off when I check this way. I am satisfied with this battery. I know I will be buying a fixed panel soon to increase the input.

Very handy

I made this purchase with concern in mind about loosing power at any moment. Specially with unpredictable weather and tensions abroad. Just about anything can put us in the dark but having the anker solix 3800 plus with 2 400watt solar panels provides peace of mind knowing that the house can withstand a power outage. The unit is very easy to set up

Awesome experience!

Bought this unit in Feb and finally had to use it in a real life event. 30+ hours of power outage in 90 degrees plus weather. My setup (F3800 Plus connected thru interlock and external generator) worked perfectly!! Due to a busy weekend schedule, I even had to give my wife a super early morning 5 minute lesson on how to re-charge and run everything since I was out of the house most of the day. And she did it all great and was super easy. Ran almost whole house (no heavy electronic load Whole House AC , stove, dryer) but everything was available including portable ac unit.

So far… “meh”

So far, I have only used this one time, just to see how long I could go without utility power and rely on this inverter power supply. If I’m to believe the display, I would get about 8 hours of power while using only a couple of outlets with LED lamps and my refrigerator. If I need to run my natural gas furnace, that total time of supplied power drops to only 4 hours. I’m not running any large appliances (other than the refrigerator). I thought that this device would be a bit more reliable for longer term outages (like several days). I hope to be able to get at least one solar panel soon and also a second battery so that I can extend the available power in case of a days-long outage at my house. While this is, in my opinion, a better choice than a generator (I have a large generator already) because it doesn’t suck down gallons of gasoline (currently at $4.19 a gallon here in NE Ohio) and therefore spares me trips to the gas station in a bad winter storm. Battery inverters are the way to go… I just thought that this would last longer than 8 hours with only a refrigerator and a couple of table lamps as the load. Oh well. Another slightly annoying thing is that I thought that this could be recharged using a generator but as it turns out, it needs to be a PURE SINE WAVE generator, not a “construction site” type generator so now I need to either get a pure sine wave generator (~$500.00) OR the solar panel (~$700.00). And the idea of recharging from a vehicle is really not clear to me. Do I use my truck cigarette lighter? Do I need a special cable? Why wasn’t one included? I purchased a smaller Anker Solix battery inverter about a year ago. I don’t recall the model number but it’s about the size of a picnic cooler. That’s a neat little unit and it also provides about 6 to 8 hours of light if I use an LED table lamp as a load. Since it doesn’t have the 220v outlet, the small inverter couldn’t be used with my transfer switch in my basement. It’s still a great little emergency power source and since it’s much smaller than the F3800, it tucks away in a closet until it’s needed. I just wanted something that would connect to my transfer switch (220vac) and be able to then run a few circuits AND the furnace. I’m set up as long as the power isn’t out longer that 4 hours.

Paired with a portable generator it is an amazing backup solution!

I have had a portable generator and manual transfer switch for home backup ever since Hurricane Sandy hit Long Island years ago and while it has served well during several short term power outages, the amount of gasoline needed to keep it running was always a concern, not to mention how much electricity is created and not used. When I came across this power station and saw that it could be recharged by a portable generator while the transfer switch remained energized I was immediately interested, and after some research decided that it was exactly what I have been looking for. I can run my backed up circuits for +/- 7 hours while only running the generator for +/- 1, greatly extending how long I can go without grid power. I added an expansion battery which pretty much guaranteed that I can go all through the night on a full charge and not have to listen to the generator running. Very, VERY happy with this product

The Anker Solix F3800+ was very easy to set up and use.

This was very easy to set up and use and we'll be pairing it with my F3800. I have ordered the 10 position transfer switch and we'll be pairing them up. I have also ordered 8 of the Solix Solar panels and once I get the system up and running I will be buying accessory batteries for the system and hope to be using solar power every day.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Power Station – A Huge Help During Power Outages I purchased the Anker SOLIX

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Power Station – A Huge Help During Power Outages I purchased the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus for my mother, who lives in Cuba and experiences frequent and very long power outages. This power station has made a tremendous difference in her daily life. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that she has reliable backup power when the electricity goes out. The F3800 Plus is powerful, well-built, and easy to use. I also really appreciate that the system can be expanded with additional batteries and solar panels, which gives us the flexibility to increase her backup power as needed. I have also had a very positive experience with Anker SOLIX customer service. They have been responsive, helpful, and professional whenever I have contacted them. This was a significant investment for me, but seeing how much it helps my mom makes it absolutely worthwhile. I am very happy with my purchase and plan to continue expanding her system with Anker SOLIX products. Highly recommended, especially for families who need dependable backup power during frequent outages.
