The X3 Helix is the larger of Nomadic Cooling's 12V DC rooftop air conditioners, built for RVs and vans that run on a lithium battery bank. PWM modulation glides to the set point and holds it at lower compressor speeds instead of hard on/off cycling, and High Humidity Mode pulls moisture out after showers or coastal days.
Tie it into the Helix app for scenes, schedules and pre-cooling from a phone, tablet or watch. Coach builders can bring it onto an RV-C network through the optional Helix AC Controller. Inside, a flush powder-coated metal plate replaces the usual plastic bezel; outside, stainless hardware, sealed electronics and automotive-grade connectors are built for the miles. Finish: Arctic White. Nomadic lists the cooling figures below as provisional planning values pending certification.

Will it work in my rig?
- Roof: the standard 14 x 14 in opening; 31.5 x 30.9 in footprint, 7.36 in above the roof.
- Battery: about 899 W on ECO and 1,297 W on Full AC (Nomadic provisional figures, 12V, pending certification): about 5.1 h on ECO from a 400 Ah 12V LiFePO4 bank, no other loads.
- Wiring: about 88.6 A on Full AC at 12V (provisional), the highest draw in the line. Fuse per Nomadic's manual.
- Pick this if you have a larger cabin or want RV-C through the optional Helix AC Controller.
