Victron LiFePO4 Smart batteries are the heart of a serious RV or off-grid power system — lithium iron phosphate cells that deliver up to 90% usable capacity, around 70% less weight than lead-acid, and built-in Bluetooth to monitor every cell from your phone. Victron Energy Lithium Battery Smart batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries available in 12.8 V or 25.6 V in various capacities. They can be connected in series, parallel and series/parallel to build a battery bank for 12 V, 24 V or 48 V systems. The maximum number of batteries in one system is 20, for up to 84 kWh of storage in a 12 V system and up to 102 kWh in 24 V and 48 V systems.

Why lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP)?

Rugged — Unlike lead-acid, an LFP battery does not need to be fully charged and tolerates partial charging, with a wide operating temperature range, excellent cycling performance, low internal resistance and high efficiency.

Efficient — Round-trip efficiency of about 92% (versus ~80% for lead-acid), and it stays efficient even under shallow discharge — crucial for off-grid solar.

Size and weight — Saves up to 70% in both space and weight compared to lead-acid.

Bluetooth — Monitor cell voltages, temperature, and alarm status in the VictronConnect app; instant readout helps localize issues such as cell imbalance.
