This Renogy monitoring screen talks directly to the battery management system in Renogy's Smart Lithium Iron Phosphate battery series, so it reports state of charge from the BMS rather than estimating it through a shunt. That makes it the simplest way to see what a lithium house bank in an RV or van is actually doing.

For a parallel bank, the batteries are daisy-chained RS485 LINK to RS485 UP with CAT5 or better straight-through Ethernet cables, which Renogy does not include, and the supplied RJ45 cable then runs to the screen. Hold the power button for a second to bring the bank into active mode. This is a genuine Renogy product and it ships from our warehouse in Upland, CA.
