The mount that holds the spare wheel on a Black Series HQ15 so it rides securely over corrugations and is ready when a puncture happens a long way from a tire shop. The carrier takes the full weight of a wheel and tire through every bump, and over years of rough tracks the mounting bolts can loosen or the carrier itself can crack or bend after an impact. Owners replace it when the original has been damaged, or when a used HQ15 came without one.

Installation and care
Mount the carrier to the factory points on the trailer and torque the bolts to the specification in your owner's manual; use thread locker or lock nuts wherever the original hardware had them. Check the wheel and carrier bolts before every trip and again after the first hour of corrugated road. Grease any pivot or hinge point annually, and touch up chips in the finish so rust does not get started under a wheel that hides the damage.
