Own a Boreas, Taxa, Bruder, Conqueror, inTech or Turtleback and struggling to source spares? Here's the secret the trailer industry doesn't advertise: most of the parts bolted to an off-road camper aren't made by the camper brand at all. Plumbing, 12V electrical, solar, bearings and appliances are built around industry-standard threads, voltages and mounting patterns — which means a well-stocked parts store can keep almost any brand of rig on the road.
How "universal" actually works
Three standards do most of the heavy lifting:
- 1/2" NPT threads run nearly all RV fresh-water plumbing — faucets, valves, inlets and pumps interchange across brands.
- 12V DC electrics — pumps, fans, switches, detectors and lighting share the same supply whether the badge says Taxa or Black Series.
- Standard waste fittings (1.5") — holding tanks and sewer plumbing use common thread and bayonet sizes.

Water system
The 12V self-priming water pump (3.0 GPM / 55 PSI, 1/2" barb fittings) replaces the pump in nearly any camper. Pair it with the 1/2" NPT water mixing valve for safe hot-water temperatures — our mixing valve guide shows the swap. The 26-gallon HDPE holding tank handles grey, black or fresh duty with standard 1.5" fittings, and the 304 stainless outdoor kitchen faucet upgrades any slide-out kitchen (install guide here).
Power and solar
The 60A MPPT charge controller auto-detects 12V/24V and works with AGM, gel or lithium banks on any brand of camper — setup guide here. For bigger builds, the full Victron Energy catalog and Solar Power collection are brand-agnostic by design.
Running gear and safety
Timken wheel bearings fit by axle spec, not trailer brand (repack guide). The CURT 12V breakaway kit is legally required equipment on braked trailers in most states and fits universally — details in our breakaway law guide. Dometic appliances, CO/propane detectors and 12V switches likewise cross brands freely.
How to verify fitment in five minutes
- Photograph the part in place before removing anything, including hose routing and wire colors.
- Measure the thread or connection — 1/2" NPT and 1.5" waste fittings cover most plumbing; calipers beat guessing.
- Check voltage and ratings on the old part's label (12V vs 24V, amps, GPM/PSI).
- Measure the mounting footprint — universal parts fit the system; the bolt pattern is what occasionally differs.
- Look for the compatibility tags on our product pages — items marked universal-fit list the brands they've been confirmed on.
