Where do I get a replacement locking latch and spring for an ARK XO coupler?
The latch is the small part on an XO coupler that wears, seizes or goes missing, and it can hold up a trip on its own. ARK makes it as a separate genuine spare, so you do not need a whole coupler.
The part
The ARK XO Coupler Replacement Locking Latch, ARK part ORXOLL, is the rear rotary locking latch for the XO coupler, supplied complete with its spring. Latch and spring come as one assembly, so you replace the working parts together rather than trying to match a new spring to a worn latch.
What it is not: the coupler body or any other XO coupler component. If the coupler itself is cracked, bent or worn at the pin, that is a coupler replacement, not a latch job. The complete ARK XO Off-Road Coupler Class 3 (ORXO3US) is the US model we stock.
Check before you order
- Confirm it is an ARK XO coupler. Off-road couplers look alike. Cruisemaster DO35 and DO45 couplers use their own parts and do not take ARK spares. Our coupler fitment guide shows how to tell them apart.
- Compare with the old latch. Lay the old latch next to the product photos. If yours has been lost, photograph the empty mount and send it to us; we will confirm before you buy.
- Check what else wore. A seized latch usually means grit and no grease. Clean the coupler while it is apart, and check the pin and bushes for wear.
Carry a spare
A latch is a small, cheap part that stops a trip when it fails a long way from a parts counter. Many off-road owners keep one in the spares box with the jockey-wheel spare. It ships from our warehouse in Upland, California, and you can collect it at the counter.
