Safe-T-Alert by MTI Industries makes the 12 V hard-wired carbon monoxide and propane alarms fitted in RVs, travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes, built in the USA for the RV environment and rated from -40°F to +158°F. They run on the coach's 12 V supply, so there are no batteries to forget, and each model has an alarm mute button and a rapid-recovery sensor that re-alarms if gas is still present.
Combination CO and propane alarms. Upgrade a single propane detector to one alarm that watches for both gases: the universal 85 Series with trim ring, the credit-card sized 25 Series Mini, the long, slim 35 Series and the 45 Series.
Propane (LP gas) alarms. The 20 Series, 30 Series and the universal 80 Series.
Carbon monoxide alarms. The 62 Series, with Memory Scan that keeps the CO level that set the alarm off.
Trim-ring models cover the old screw holes and fit into the cutout of an older detector, so a replacement looks tidy. Every alarm here ships from our warehouse in Upland, California. Not sure which one replaces yours? Send us a photo of the old alarm and we will match it.

Safe-T-Alert questions
Which Safe-T-Alert replaces my old alarm?
Read the model number on the old one and check our replacement chart, built from MTI's own cross references for older Safe-T-Alert, Atwood/Dometic and CCI models. No match? The universal 85 Series comes with a trim ring that covers old screw holes and fits a previous cutout, or send us a photo and we will match it.
Is there a Safe-T-Alert replacement for the Atwood 31011?
The 31011 is not on MTI's cross-reference sheet, so we do not call any model a direct replacement. We still sell the genuine Atwood 31011; or measure your cutout and consider the universal 85 Series with trim ring.
How often should RV CO and propane alarms be replaced?
MTI says every Safe-T-Alert alarm has a 5-year service life and gives an end-of-life warning when powered; replace propane and CO alarms that are over 5 years old.
Do Safe-T-Alert alarms need batteries?
No. They are hard-wired to the RV's 12 V DC supply (operating range 12 V plus or minus 15%) , and MTI lists a low-voltage warning on the 25, 35, 45, 62, 80 and 85 Series.
Why is my Safe-T-Alert chirping?
A beep every 25 to 30 seconds with red-red-green-green lights is MTI's end-of-life signal. See what each light and beep means.
Where do Safe-T-Alert orders ship from?
