Dicor makes a different cleaner, primer and coating for each kind of RV roof, and using the wrong one is how a coating peels. These kits group the Dicor parts by roof type, in the order you use them: clean, seal, then coat. Each kit is priced at the sum of its parts, with no bundle markup and no bundle discount, and the prices below are read from each product page when this page loads.

Not sure what your roof is? A rubber (EPDM) roof is soft and slightly chalky when you rub it; TPO is smoother and slightly shiny; fiberglass is hard and one piece with the walls on many fifth wheels and motorhomes. Your RV maker's spec sheet will say. A caulking gun is not included in any kit.

Kits on this page: Rubber (EPDM) roof reseal kit · Rubber (EPDM) roof coating kit, up to 187 sq ft · TPO roof reseal kit · Fiberglass roof coating kit, up to 350 sq ft · Roof care kit, any roof

Which kit for which roof

Roof Reseal (edges, vents, screws) Coat the whole roof
Rubber (EPDM) EPDM reseal kit EPDM coating kit, up to 187 sq ft; for about a 30 ft roof, Dicor's own Roof Renew Kit
TPO TPO reseal kit Needs Dicor's TPO silicone primer, which we do not stock yet
Fiberglass Lap sealant is in the coating kit Fiberglass coating kit, up to 350 sq ft
Any roof Roof care kit: cleaner and UV protectant between reseals

Coverage figures are Dicor's own from our listings: Cleaner/Activator 1 quart per 125 sq ft; acrylic coating 1 gallon per 125 sq ft per coat, two coats; fiberglass coating 350 sq ft per gallon per coat, two coats. Measure your roof (length x width) before you choose: an 8.5 ft wide roof is about 187 sq ft at 22 ft long and 350 sq ft at 41 ft. Lap sealant tubes are 10.3 oz; the kits carry several so you do not run out mid-job, not a measured coverage.

Rubber (EPDM) roof reseal kit

The yearly or every-other-year job on a rubber roof: clean it, cut back cracked sealant, re-bead the edges, vents and screw heads, and patch any tear.

What is in it

Why these parts: Self-leveling lap sealant flows into a smooth bead on flat roof surfaces and its listing names it compatible with EPDM, TPO and PVC membranes. For termination rails and edges where you do not want the bead to flow, Dicor's Non-Sag Lap Sealant is on our Dicor collection. The repair membrane's listing says to clean the area with Dicor Rubber Roof Cleaner first, which is why both are in the kit. Pick the sealant colour to match your roof.

Rubber (EPDM) roof coating kit, up to 187 sq ft

A two-coat acrylic coating renews a chalky, worn rubber roof that is still sound underneath. Sized for about a 22 ft roof that is 8.5 ft wide.

What is in it

Why these parts: Dicor's coating listing says EPDM must be cleaned and primed with the Part 1 Cleaner/Activator first, and that the whole process, the Cleaner/Activator and both coats, has to be finished in one day, so pick a dry day with no dew or rain due. Three gallons cover 187 sq ft at two coats. The roof must be in good condition: Dicor's instructions say not to coat brittle roofing. For a roof around 30 ft, Dicor's own Roof Renew Kit is the packaged option.

TPO roof reseal kit

For newer trailers with a smooth TPO membrane: clean, re-bead and tape the seams.

What is in it

Why these parts: Every part here names TPO, or roofs in general, on its listing. There is no TPO coating kit: Dicor's silicone coating needs its TPO Silicone Roof Primer on a TPO roof, and we do not stock that primer yet. Call us if you want to coat a TPO roof.

Fiberglass roof coating kit, up to 350 sq ft

For fiberglass and previously coated roofs: Dicor's clean-and-prep, seam tape, lap sealant for the fasteners, and two gallons of fiberglass coating.

What is in it

Why these parts: This follows Dicor's own steps from the Clean & Prep listing: scrub and prep, degloss with fine steel wool or sandpaper, seal fasteners and vent mounts with lap sealant, tape the seams with Coating-Ready Cover Tape, then two coats at right angles. Two gallons cover 350 sq ft at two coats. Dicor does not state a coverage for the Clean & Prep; one gallon is what the kit carries. Not for rubber or TPO roofs.

Roof care kit, any roof

Between reseals: clean the roof and put UV protection back on it.

What is in it

Why these parts: The cleaner's listing recommends following it with Roof-Gard, and Roof-Gard lists every common RV roof: rubber, vinyl, PVC, TPO and fiberglass. Dicor recommends reapplying it every 3 to 5 weeks or after each cleaning for maximum UV protection, which is why the refill is included. Do not use it where a slippery surface would be a problem.

How these kits are priced

A kit is a checklist you can buy from, not a discount. Each line costs exactly what it costs on its own product page, and the kit is the sum of its parts. The prices on this page are not typed in: they are read from the product pages each time this page loads, so a price change on a product shows up here too. If they do not load in your browser, the product links still work and checkout shows the price. Already own one of the parts? Buy only the lines you need from the product links, or remove a line in the cart. Found it cheaper? We'll beat it.
