Anker SOLIX EverFrost 2 40L Electric Cooler with 288Wh Battery

Everything I was hoping for so far. Using it in a pontoon boat as a permanent refrigerator. I have it plugged into A/C power when it is docked, and when I go out the battery takes over. Keeps things very cold, and I love the control from the app via wifi. I can raise the temperature when I'm not going to use it for a few days so it doesn't have to work so hard, then turn it down when I know I'm going out so it gets cold to where I want it.

I was skeptical about purchasing the Anker EverFrost 2, but so far my concerns appear to be unfounded. What initially attracted me to electric coolers was the idea of not needing ice, never dealing with soggy sandwiches again, having a potential backup solution during hurricane season, and, if I’m being honest, my fascination with cool gadgets. Before buying the EverFrost 2, I purchased a more budget-friendly electric cooler. It quickly became clear that it didn’t meet my needs. My biggest complaint was that it relied on an external power source, such as a Jackery Power Station, to be truly useful. It couldn’t hold a charge on its own, which defeated the purpose for me. It also struggled in direct heat. While searching for something better, I came across this cooler. The challenge was that I couldn’t find much information about how it performed in the types of situations I planned to use it for. Most reviews focused on specs or how many water bottles it could hold. The marketing claims that it can “last for days on a single battery” sounded too good to be true. Spoiler alert: in my experience, that claim is a bit optimistic depending on how you use it. My Intended Uses * Beach trips * Track meets * Hurricane preparedness * Patio gatherings and outdoor events * Weekend grocery runs My Real-World Results To test the battery, I took the cooler to work and left it in my truck. I left home at 6:30 a.m. and arrived at work at 7:30 a.m. At that point, the battery was at 92%. My truck was parked outside in direct sunlight, although the cooler itself was shaded in the back seat. When I left work at 4:00 p.m., with outside temperatures in the 90s, the battery was still at 82%. Using the 12-volt cigarette charger during my drive home brought the battery back up to 92% by the time I arrived. Over the following days, I also left the cooler in the bed of my truck in direct sunlight. After four hours, the battery still had 80% or more remaining. Because of its height, I wouldn’t be able to use a hard top bed cover which is unfortunate from a security standpoint to hide the cooler. That being said, I ran a chain and lock through the handle to some hooks on my truck. I wouldn’t leave it overnight, but plenty secure for food stops and things of that nature. Most recently, I used it for a grocery run. It held a surprisingly large amount of food, and with a little more organization, I could have fit even more. Overall Impression Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. While the “lasts for days” claim may not reflect real-world use in hot weather, the battery performance has exceeded my expectations. For me, I want something that can last around 8 hours in the Florida sun without being plugged in or requiring an external power source (power station or solar panels). More importantly, it has performed well in exactly the situations I bought it for. I’m confident it will do a great job on my next beach trip and during hurricane season. If you are looking for an electric cooler for practical, everyday use, not just for holding drinks, the EverFrost 2 could be the cooler for you. So far, it is for me. It is heavy, so keep that in mind. If I continue to enjoy this one as much as I have been, I might have try the larger version down the road.

Got it super quick and already has came in handy. Living in Texas, I also like to camp for more than 2 days but trust this after a few days of it in the back of my SUV. It gets hot here and being able to grocery shopping before errands and stops then just leaving it in the cooler because my mini fridge is full is great! I bought the second battery and mostly on smart mode I had it on from Thursday until it finally died Tuesday morning which I knew because the app tells me it's dying. I love that it hooks to wifi from the device so I can keep track of it when it's in my car. I was looking for a good portable fridge a d though it's not advertised as a fridge I use it as one and being able to bring it in or keep in the car is super helpful. Not needing to get ice is going to make things so much easier and let me bring more on trips.

I have used the cooler in the back of my truck for one overnight trip so far and it works perfectly. Set the temperature to 36 and it keeps everything cold.

Another great product,iv not tested out in the elements as i use it as a mini fridge next to my gaming setup but battery life is as advertised

I'm so impressed with this electric cooler. I have numerous other Anker products so it doesn't surprise me. It's very quiet when it does need to run and completely silent when it doesn't. It effortlessly rolls and I love the built-in handle system and the fold-up tray. Even better than all of that is the various power options.

Very impressed with the Solex Everfrost 2 cooler (42 qt). We are on a 3 week cross country trip and not having to deal with ice is amazing. We can leave the cooler in the back of our SUV, while overnight at the hotels, and the battery keeps everything cold until the following morning with over 70% charge remaining on the battery. The battery charges quickly with the AC power outlet we have in the SUV once we head out each day, so there is no need to worry about battery capacity. Very impressed with iPhone app as well, which allows us to check on cooler & battery status from inside our hotel room (with SUV parked close by)…

Lots of electric coolers on the market, I have a few, and the EverFrost 2 is at the top of the heap. Quiet, 40 L of room, super efficient, dispersed cooling with the lid fan, dual batteries, handle/table, wheels, wireless app and more. This is the perfect design that makes it rise above the others. I tested it with the dual batteries along with an Anker Solix C300 DC power station. With all three power sources connected, I was able to 3.5 days of cooling out of it. Along with solar panels and sunny weather, this can go indefinitely. I could go on and on about it, but just get one and find out. It is great! 5 stars from me.

Set mine to 32 degrees max cooling. Ice cold beer.

Works amazing. Only bad part is I didn’t get it with a second battery or a solar panel. I will be purchasing those soon. It lasted 3 days in 90 degree weather, while camping, with me charging it for 45 minutes while I drove to the store to get something. It added an additional 40% to the battery.

It scratches me when I try to close it with my elbow.

Great unit. Very diversified. Runs stand alone DC or AC input. Like knowing I don’t have to keep it plugged I all the time. Nice that the battery can be pulled and used by itself as a power pack and charge outside the cooler.

We bought this for a cross country trip to keepoury raw dog food frozen. We drive about 4-6 hours per day and it loses anywhere from 25-35% battery in that time. I am not sure if this could go 24 hours at -4 degrees in smart mode, but long enough to get you to a plug.I like the app connectivity. this is our first electric cooler and it has met our needs. Definitely recommend.
