Sizing rule of thumb: around 2,000–3,000 BTU suits a tent or a truck cab, 4,000–5,500 BTU suits a van build, small camper or a 100–150 sq ft space. Every one of these units needs its exhaust vented outside the space being cooled, so budget for a venting kit alongside the unit.
