Collection: OutEquipPro

OutEquipPro builds 12V, 24V and 48V DC air conditioners that run straight off your house battery, so you can cool a van, camper, truck camper or trailer parked off-grid or while you drive, with no generator and no shore power. The low-profile Summit 2 drops into a standard 14 x 14 inch roof vent opening, and the range adds heat pumps, undermount and split systems, plus LiFePO4 batteries sized to run them overnight.

The range

  • Summit 2: 10,000 BTU (12V) or 11,000 BTU (24V/48V) rooftop AC, 6.3 in tall, with or without a 4,500 BTU PTC heater, white or black.
  • Summit Flex: the Summit 2 platform in a housing that mounts flat on the roof or upright on a wall or rear door, leaving the roof free for solar.
  • Glacier Pro: inverter rooftop AC, 11,500 BTU on 12V or 15,000 BTU on 110V, with or without a reverse-cycle heat pump.
  • Skyeline UM: 12,000 BTU undermount system on 750W with a factory-charged outdoor unit, pre-made lines and a ducted indoor unit.
  • 12V split and mini-split units for truck sleepers and van builds, and the 13,500 BTU low-profile rooftop unit.
  • Smart LiFePO4 batteries and Power Hubs: 12V 230Ah, 460Ah and 630Ah and 48V 105Ah with Bluetooth BMS.

OutEquipPro questions

Will the Summit 2 fit my 14 x 14 roof vent opening?

OutEquipPro gives 14.1 x 14.1 inches as the standard opening for replacing an RV roof fan, and accepts anything from 14.1 x 10.3 to 16.5 x 15.7 inches. Roofs 1.5 to 3.5 inches thick need no changes; thicker roofs up to 8.7 inches need OutEquipPro's extension kit. See installing a Summit 2 in a 14x14 roof vent opening.

How much battery do I need for a 12V air conditioner?

OutEquipPro rates the 12V Summit 2 at 58 A in Turbo and 21 A in Eco. On our 460Ah battery that works out to about 7 hours flat out or about 20 hours in Eco, assuming 90% usable capacity and no charging. Our battery runtime guide covers every OutEquipPro 12V unit.

Summit 2 or Glacier Pro?

The Summit 2 is lower (6.3 inches), lighter (43 lb) and comes in 12V, 24V and 48V. The Glacier Pro gives more cooling (11,500 BTU on 12V) and a heat pump option, in a bigger 65 lb unit. Compare them in Summit 2 vs Glacier Pro.

12V, 24V or 48V?

Match the voltage of your house battery bank. The 48V Summit 2 draws 18 A in Turbo against 58 A for the 12V, so it needs lighter cable. See Summit 2 12V vs 24V vs 48V.

Do OutEquipPro air conditioners heat?

The Summit 2 and Summit Flex offer a 4,500 BTU PTC heater for supplementary warmth, and the Glacier Pro a reverse-cycle heat pump that OutEquipPro says works efficiently above 36°F. The split systems and the Skyeline UM are cooling only.

Where do OutEquipPro orders ship from?
