The Ionic 12V Group 31 Heavy Duty Diesel Starter Battery is a 100Ah LiFePO4 starting battery rated at 3,000 cranking amps (3 seconds) and 1,800 CCA. Ionic builds it for semi trucks, heavy duty and dump trucks, commercial and residential generators, yellow iron equipment and other diesel engines, and says one unit typically replaces two lead-acid batteries in a heavy-duty multi-battery setup.
A built-in heater keeps it charging and running in cold weather, Bluetooth shows battery status in the Ionic app, and Emergency Start holds back 25% of capacity for a restart. It weighs 33.95 lb and uses the same posts as a lead-acid battery.
