The Ionic 12V-to-24V transfer charger is an onboard DC-DC charger that keeps a 24V trolling-motor bank topped up from the boat's 12V starting system while the engine runs. It boosts 12V to 24V and charges at 16A to 29.2V, for up to 480W.
It only charges when the engine is running with at least 30A of alternator output and the 12V starter battery is already full; otherwise it waits in standby, drawing under 1mA. It is built for LiFePO4 trolling batteries, runs at 95% efficiency or better, and measures 7.28 x 4.13 x 2.52 in.
