The REDARC BCDC1225D is a 25A in-vehicle DC-DC charger that brings an auxiliary or camper battery to full charge while you drive and from solar when you stop. It runs in 12V or 24V vehicles with standard or variable (smart) alternators and puts out a 12V multi-stage charge tailored to AGM, gel, lead acid, calcium or LiFePO4 batteries.
A built-in MPPT solar regulator accepts panels at the same time as the alternator and uses solar first. REDARC sizes it for battery banks of 75 – 200Ah; large banks may take a few cycles to reach full charge.
