The REDARC BCDC1250D is a 50A in-vehicle DC-DC charger that keeps an auxiliary or camper battery charged from the alternator while you drive and from solar panels when parked. It works in 12V or 24V vehicles with standard or variable (smart) alternators, delivers a 12V charge, and has a built-in MPPT solar regulator that can charge from both sources at once, choosing solar first.
REDARC suggests it for battery banks over 200Ah; for 75 – 200Ah banks they recommend the BCDC1225D. It is fully sealed against water and dust and can go in the engine bay, cabin or trailer.
