The REDARC Smart Start SBI12D is a microprocessor-controlled, dual sensing battery isolator for 12V dual battery systems in 4WD, overland and commercial vehicles. It protects the start battery from excessive discharge while the auxiliary battery runs non-essential loads, and it is rated at 100A continuous.
Dual sensing means it also works when the auxiliary battery is charged by an external source: once the auxiliary battery reaches 13.2V, the SBI12D lets that source charge the start battery too.
