The Spartan Power PowerUp SP-DK500 is for motorhomes with a 2-way (propane / 120VAC) refrigerator. It automatically switches the fridge from gas to electric while the RV is driving and back to gas when the engine stops, so the fridge stays cold without a propane flame burning on the road and nobody has to remember to switch it.
When the engine starts, the PowerUp waits 10 minutes to allow for short moves, then powers the fridge with 120VAC and turns the gas off. There are no operator controls, so it can be mounted out of sight.
