Can I connect two Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus units together?
Yes, and it is the way to get 240V from the HomePower line. A single HomePower 3600 Plus is a 120V station; two of them linked give 240V output.
What you need
- Two HomePower 3600 Plus stations.
- The Jackery Connector. Its listing names the Explorer 2000 Plus and the HomePower 3600 Plus as the stations it links, and Jackery states it is required whenever either is connected to another unit. It is rated for use down to -20°C (-4°F).
We also sell the pair as the HomePower 3600 Plus Double Kit option on the Solar Generator set page: two stations and the Connector in one order.
What it gets you
- 240V output for a home panel or 240V appliances, which one unit cannot provide.
- More battery to draw from. Each 3600 Plus also expands on its own, to 21kWh with five Battery Pack 3600 units, so a linked pair can grow a long way.
- A transfer-switch route at home. Our 240V 50A Jackery manual transfer switch listing says Jackery lists it for two 3600 Plus units with a parallel combiner, as well as for the Explorer 5000 Plus.
For a 50-amp RV, look at the Explorer 5000 Plus
A 50-amp RV plugs in through a NEMA 14-50. The Explorer 5000 Plus has a NEMA 14-50 outlet (plus an L14-30R) and 120V/240V output in one unit, so the shore cord plugs straight in with no linking. Two 3600 Plus units make sense when you want the flexibility of two portable stations; the 5000 Plus makes sense when you want one box that matches the RV's plug. Either way, have an electrician or RV technician check any connection to the coach's panel.
