Planning rule we use: a panel puts back about its rated watts x 4 to 5 sun hours x 0.75 per day, so a 200W panel refills roughly 600 to 750Wh on a clear day. Full working through in How many SolarSaga panels can my Jackery take?.
Jackery solar panel questions
Can I use a non-Jackery solar panel with a Jackery?
Current stations take a DC8020 input and most third-party panels end in MC4, so you need an MC4 to DC8020 cable and the panel's open-circuit voltage must stay inside the station's input range. Jackery's own panels come with the right cable. If you already own panels, send us the model and we will check it.
Can I chain two SolarSaga panels together?
Only through the Jackery Solar Panel Connector, which joins two or three panels into one station input, and only on the stations it lists. Never put SolarSaga 500 X panels in series.
Which panel is right for an RV?
For a van or small trailer with an Explorer 1000 v2 or 2000 v2, one SolarSaga 200W per port. For a 30A trailer running off a HomePower 3600 Plus, a single SolarSaga 500 X refills it fastest. For an Explorer 5000 Plus, one 500 X per low-voltage port.
Do the panels work in the rain?
The SolarSaga 40 Air, 100 Air and 100 Light are IP68 rated; the 200W and 500 X are built for outdoor use but not for permanent installation. Fold them away in storms and never leave a 500 X array up in high wind.
Found it cheaper? We'll beat it. See the Jackery RV power kits for station-and-panel sets loaded into your cart in one click, or Jackery expansion batteries if you want more storage instead of more charging.
