How to choose

Fifth wheel, truck bed with a gooseneck ball: the Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection 3220, or 3220TBX if a toolbox sits behind the cab. Flatbeds take the lowered 3221 or 3221TBX. Trucks with factory rails take the 3200.

Fifth wheel with a solid pin box, bed kept clear: a Ranch Hitch Adapter. Andersen does not recommend it for cushioned or movable pin boxes.

Bumper-pull travel trailer that sways or squats the truck: the weight distribution hitch. Andersen says not to use it with surge brakes.

Several trailers at different heights: a Rapid Hitch (aluminum) or EZ Hitch (steel). Measure your drop first.

What ball does the Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection need?
The gooseneck versions clamp to a 2-5/16 in gooseneck ball that is already installed in the truck bed; Andersen does not supply the in-bed ball. Puck-system trucks can use the Andersen Bed Shaft or a 2-5/16 in ball, per Andersen's configuration chart.
Does the Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection work with every pin box?
No. Andersen's chart lists solid pin boxes as compatible, Rota-Flex boxes with the Rota-Flex Lockout Kit, and Airborne and pivoting boxes only when locked straight. Rotating-style boxes and gooseneck adapter pin boxes are listed as not compatible.
Which Andersen WD hitch ball size should I get?
Match your trailer coupler. Andersen rates the 2 in tapered ball at 10,000 lb GTWR and the 2-5/16 in ball at 14,000 lb. Your trailer's coupler and your truck's ratings may be lower.
What is the difference between the Rapid Hitch and the EZ Hitch?
The Rapid Hitch is aluminum, adjusts with one pin and offers racks up to 10 in. The EZ Hitch is steel, uses the same rack as the Andersen WD hitch and comes in 2, 2-1/2 and 3 in shanks.
How much lift does the Camper Leveler give?
Andersen says any increment between 1/2 in and 4 in, on trailers up to 30,000 lb with tires up to 32 in in diameter. Each leveler comes with a Tuff Chock.
Do Andersen hitches raise my tow rating?
No. Andersen states that hitch ratings do not increase tow-vehicle or trailer limits. Tow within the lowest rating of every part in the setup.
