Reliable off-grid power and industrial grade inverter performance for demanding appliances, tools, and everyday energy needs. The Expedition: Bighorn (ECBIGHORN) is a complete mobile and off-grid solar power system designed for Do It Yourselfers and installers who need dependable energy for RVs, work trailers, remote job sites, cabins, and mobile applications. Built for users requiring substantial battery storage and reliable AC power, this system combines efficient solar charging, deep cycle battery capacity, and industrial grade inverter performance into one integrated solution.
Featuring 200 watts of solar generation from two long, narrow 100 watt solar panels, 5.12 kWh of AGM battery storage, and a powerful 2000 watt pure sine inverter, the Bighorn is engineered to support demanding appliances, power tools, electronics, and essential equipment. The narrow panel design provides greater installation flexibility, making it easier to utilize available roof space on RVs, trailers, vans, and other applications where wider panels may be difficult to position.
The substantial AGM battery bank delivers dependable stored energy for extended runtime, while the solar array helps maintain battery charge for continued operation in remote locations. Every component is carefully selected to work seamlessly together, simplifying installation and ensuring reliable long term performance.
Whether you're working off-grid, powering a mobile setup, or equipping a remote job site, the Bighorn provides dependable energy where utility power isn't available.
- Users: Power tools, appliances, electronics, and essential equipment with substantial battery storage and reliable pure sine wave power
- Installers: Long, narrow solar panels provide flexible mounting options while carefully matched components simplify system integration and installation

Is the Bighorn the right AIMS kit?
- Complete Expedition kit: two 100W long narrow panels for a tight roof, 5.12kWh of AGM storage and a 2000W pure sine inverter. Plan on about half the AGM capacity as usable energy.
- No shore-power charger: the inverter is a plain inverter. Want pass-through and charging? The Frontier Mantis has a 2000W inverter charger, or the Expedition Bull has a 3000W one with a 50A transfer switch.
- Smaller loads? The Starling or Lynx.
