The Bilstein 24-245975 is a B6 steering stabilizer (steering damper) for the Ford F-53 Motorhome 1988-2024. It damps steering kickback and road-induced shimmy, which helps a tall, heavy vehicle track straighter in crosswinds and over ruts.
It uses Bilstein's monotube gas-pressure design, which keeps damping consistent as the unit works and warms up. If your chassis did not come with a factory stabilizer, the Bilstein bracket kit 11-317555 is required to mount it.
