The BLUETTI Charger 2 is a dual-input charger that pulls up to 800W from the vehicle alternator and up to 600W from solar at the same time, for 1,200W total into a power station while you drive. Bluetti says that is 13x faster than a standard car outlet and 2x the Charger 1. It is the piece that turns a tow vehicle or van into the charger for the trailer's power station between campsites.

Bluetti's Battery Link design keeps power flowing to fridges, lights and a DC panel whether driving or parked, and with the DC hub it delivers up to 600W of 12V/24V DC output without extra converters. Bluetti says it works with all BLUETTI power stations and 95% of third-party units. Charging and energy flow are monitored in the BLUETTI app over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Bluetti's FAQ covers vehicle battery compatibility and confirms it protects against draining the starter battery.

  • What it does: pulls up to 800W from the alternator and up to 600W from solar at the same time, 1,200W total into a station while you drive. With the DC hub it gives up to 600W of 12V/24V DC output.
  • Good to know: Bluetti says it protects the starter battery from being drained. The D+ signal lead is a separate part: we list versions for the AC240 and FridgePower.

Almost there…

The Charger 2 is a game changer compared to the Charger 1. With the Chargers 2 reverse charging, intergraded solar input (capped at 600W) and ability to add a DC Hub with worth the price of the upgrade at $99.00. However, with all the errors that I have received from the Charger 2 is pretty crazy especially with some error’s with no known fix. While some change on the software side with pushed updates have helped I personally would give it another 6 month before I would purchase a Charger 2 at full price.

Bluetti Charger 2

When researching the Bluetti Charger 2, I was impressed by the claim that it could deliver up to 1200 watts to charge my AC200L. Since the Charger 2 is "compatible" with the AC200L, and states that it can provide up to 1200 watts, I also assumed that it could do so by receiving up to 1200 watts, with a comparable voltage input of up to 145 VDC and amperage input of up to 15A. As this was well within my existing solar panel capacity of 890 watts at ~86 VDC and ~10.35A, I was looking forward to having it integrated into my system. However, as you know, my hopes exceeded reality. So, now, I can use only one of my 455W panels. This can present significant limitations when I choose to be stationary and not run my engine. Of course, I could invest in a new solar array to meet the 600W maximum, but I shouldn't have to reconfigure my system around the limitations presented by this otherwise useful power hub. Basically, the Charger 2 needs to be able to accomodate up to 1200 watts of solar input and modulate that input in conjunction with the alternator input accordingly. Otherwise, it spends a majority of its time providing only half of the AC200L input capacity.

Game changer

This couldn’t be a better purchase imo. I have two B300k batteries in the back of my truck bed and now they are always charged or charging, if I remember to turn on the unit. Very happy so far, only had about 3 weeks.

Blue etti 2

Set it up and work great in my van, issue however I have also wired a solar input from outside the van to the blue etti then that feeds into my jackery 2000 v2 it however will not allow the charging so I need to relook at it when I getback from this trip. Other than that it does as expected

Game changer for camping

It was fairly straightforward and quick to install. The most difficult part was running the cables. It would be nice if they sold or included the d+ signal cable. But it works perfectly with the app.

Adventure van

Im building an adventure van to do some traveling I'm putting together a bluetti system one part at a time. So far I have the charger 2 charger and the hub 1. I needed the charger 2 first so I could run the wiring. Got the hub 1 to help with the layout. Next I think will be the apex 300 for the power system.

Works great paired with the Elite 300

Works great paired with the Elite 300. Was able to charge daily while driving. Issues 1. It randomly stops charging and I will have to reset it in the app for it to charge again. 2. After an 8 day trip using daily while driving, it totally killed my starter battery. I’m not sure if it’s taking more than my alternator can handle charging wise. I upgraded to an AGM battery to see if that helps.

Overall a great product, but.

Overall I'm pleased with the Charger 2. My only complaint is that the charger controller (I assume) doesn't work properly on a mostly cloudy day. Once the wattage output of my 200 watt solar.panel drops below 30 watts the controller will hold it there even when the cloud passes and the the sun is bright again, it still only allows 30 /34 watts to pass through. I'm not sure this can be fixed with an update or not.

Absolutely Incredible Unit!

Charger 2 is an absolute must have if you are running any type of Campervan or Overlanding setup. I have my Jeep setup for overlanding. Before the Charger 2, I would just run a power cord into my Jeep to charge my AC200L. I quickly found that this was not suitable for even a long weekend as I'd be powering my fridge and other 12V devices through my D40. Once I got out on the road with no way to top off the AC200L I would be needing to really watch what I used by the end of the weekend. Now with the Charger 2 in place I have no worries. By just starting the Jeep and letting it idle or simply driving I am able to make sure the AC200L gets a fresh charge on the way to the next destination. I routinely see upwards of 780W just off the Jeep. I'm looking forward to adding a solar panel into the mix for those times when I am set up as base camp and don't plan on starting the Jeep. One of the absolute best additions to my setup!

Excellent for keeping my Elite 100 charge on the go

I've had this installed in my work truck for over a month now and I really love how it keeps my elite 100 charged. I drive a lot and I'm often working in places without reliable power. This keeps, along with my elite 100, keep me on the job and not waiting for a power source

Major upgrade from the original Charger

I appreciate the ability of the Charger 2 to combine both Solar and Alternator charging into my BLUETTI. My only criticism is that the total OCV limit should have been greater. As a result I had to rewire my 4 100W solar panels so that they were not all in series but 2 in series and then these two in parallel to meet the limitation.

Insufficient Documentation for Charger 2 Operation and Settings Adjustment

Charger 2 did not come with sufficient documentation to understand how it works. In my case knowing it will cycle down and back up if it senses overheating, and that we can tweak the settings lower than what the pps is rated for.

Charging Speed and Efficiency

The charging performance of the Charger 2 is a total game-changer for my off-grid setup. It delivers up to 1200W of total power through the dual alternator and solar input, which is roughly 13 times faster than a standard car cigarette lighter. I was able to top off my 1,000Wh power station in just about an hour of driving, which eliminates the anxiety of running out of battery during long trips. It's incredibly efficient at harvesting excess power from the alternator to keep everything charged
