Fabric bath mats in a camper bathroom stay damp for hours, and damp fabric in a closed-up RV is how musty smells start. This oval mat takes a different approach. It is made of soft diatomaceous earth, a material that absorbs water fast and dries quickly on its own, with a rubber backing that grips the floor. It suits a small RV bathroom, but plenty of owners buy a second one for the home shower or the spot in front of the kitchen sink.

Use and care
The smooth surface wipes clean with a damp cloth, and the mat is machine washable when it needs more than a wipe; lay it flat to dry rather than using a dryer, which is hard on the rubber backing. Stand it on edge against the shower wall between uses so both sides air out. Keep it away from oily products like lotion, which can seal the surface and slow absorption.
