BLUETTI Expansion Batteries: Which Fits Which Station

A station-by-station chart of which BLUETTI expansion battery fits which model, how many you can add, and which stations take none, from BLUETTI's own pages.

BLUETTI sells several expansion batteries that look alike on a spec sheet: the B300K, the B500K, the BlueCell 200 and the B4810. They are not interchangeable. Each one connects to a particular family of stations, through a particular cable, up to a particular count. This guide sets out, model by model, which battery fits which BLUETTI, how many you can add, and which stations take no expansion battery at all. Every compatibility figure comes from BLUETTI's own product pages and manuals. Where BLUETTI does not say, we say that too.

The short answer

  • Apex 300: B300K or B500K, up to six packs, and you can mix the two.
  • FridgePower: BlueCell 200 (BC200) only, up to three.
  • RV5 system: B4810, up to 24.
  • Premium 100 V2, Premium 200 V2, Pioneer Na: no expansion battery, per BLUETTI. Elite 320: none named on our listing.
  • AC200P L: BLUETTI lists the B210P, B230 and B300, none of which we stock. Ask us before you buy a B300K or B500K for it.

Station by station

Station Expansion batteries BLUETTI lists Most packs Most capacity
Apex 300 (2,764.8Wh) B300K, B500K (mixing allowed) 6 19,353.6Wh with six B300K
FridgePower (2,016Wh) BlueCell 200 (BC200) 3 8,064Wh
RV5 (no built-in battery) B4810 (also B1210/B1228 wired in series to 48V, B300/B300K/B300S, or third-party 48V) 24 B4810 122 kWh, BLUETTI's figure
AC200P L (2,304Wh) B210P, B230, B300 See BLUETTI 8,448Wh, BLUETTI's figure
Premium 200 V2 None. BLUETTI: "not expandable" 0 2,073.6Wh
Premium 100 V2 None listed by BLUETTI 0 1,024Wh
Pioneer Na None. BLUETTI's FAQ says it does not support external battery packs 0 900Wh
Elite 320 None named on our listing 0 3,200Wh

The Apex 300 figure works out as 2,764.8Wh plus six times 2,764.8Wh. BLUETTI also allows six B500K on one Apex 300. That would be 2,764.8 + 6 × 5,120 = 33,484.8Wh, which is our arithmetic, not a figure BLUETTI prints. Go bigger than that and you need parallel units. BLUETTI says up to three Apex 300s can run together through a Hub A1, for 11,520W of AC output and 58,060.8Wh with 18 B300K.

B300K or B500K for an Apex 300?

B300K B500K
Capacity 2,764.8Wh (51.2V, 54Ah) 5,120Wh
Chemistry LiFePO4, 6,000+ cycles to 80% LiFePO4
Weight 65.04 lb 99.21 lb
Cable in the box (BLUETTI) CA90 battery connection cable CA90 battery expansion cable
Use without a station BLUETTI's B300K FAQ says it charges only through a connected station BLUETTI says it can charge from a SolarX 4K or Charger 2 and run DC loads through a Hub D1

An Apex 300 with one B300K comes to 5,529.6Wh. With one B500K it comes to 7,884.8Wh. In an RV, the B500K gives you more capacity per pack and per connection. The B300K gives you a lighter pack you can move by hand, and BLUETTI's Apex 300 page designs the B300K to stack directly on the station. If you want a ready pairing, see the Apex 300 + B300K bundle and the Apex 300 + B500K bundle.

Pick the right version on our listing

BLUETTI makes three versions of each battery, and each version has its own part number. Our B300K and B500K listings each have a "Compatible with" option: Apex 300, AC200L / AC300 or AC500. Choose the option that matches your station. The capacity is the same, but BLUETTI sells each version separately for its own station family. BLUETTI's limits for the older stations:

  • AC300: up to 4 B300K or B500K, using the P090A cable.
  • AC500: up to 6. BLUETTI requires its P150D adapter cable.
  • AC200L and AC200MAX: up to 2. BLUETTI quotes 7,577.6Wh for an AC200L with two B300K, and 12,288Wh with two B500K.

Cables: which one connects what

BLUETTI's Apex 300 page explains that it supplies two cable lengths. The short one, about 270 mm, stacks the battery directly on the station. The long one, about 800 mm, lets you place the battery somewhere else. For B500K stacks BLUETTI uses the CA90. Once you go past three packs in separate stacks, it uses the P090A. BLUETTI's SolarX 4K FAQ adds that the short cable carries more charging power than the long one. On our store:

For every other cable, see our BLUETTI compatibility guide.

FridgePower and the BlueCell 200

BLUETTI describes the BlueCell 200 (BC200) as the dedicated expansion battery for FridgePower, "designed to work exclusively with FridgePower." Each pack adds 2,016Wh of LiFePO4, rated for 4,000+ cycles. You can connect up to three, for 8,064Wh. It does not fit an Apex 300 or a Premium station. If you want the full stack in one order, we carry the FridgePower + 3x BC200 bundle.

The RV5 and the B4810

The RV5 is a 48V system with no battery of its own. Its native pack is the B4810: 51.2V, 100Ah, 5,120Wh. BLUETTI says you can start with one and grow to 24. It also says a single B4810 limits the system to 4,320W, and it recommends two B4810s to run a 15,000 BTU air conditioner overnight. The RV5 can also run on B1210/B1228 batteries wired in series to 48V, on B300-family packs, or on third-party 48V lead-acid or lithium. With a third-party LiFePO4 bank, BLUETTI requires a 10K 3435 NTC thermistor on the battery.

The 12V batteries are a different thing

The B1210 (12.8V, 100Ah, about 1,280Wh) and the B1232 (12.8V, 314Ah, about 4,019Wh) are drop-in 12V house batteries. They are not plug-in expansion packs for a portable station. They replace lead-acid in a 12V system, and BLUETTI lists both as compatible with the SolarX 4K. For an RV5, BLUETTI's FAQ names the B1210 (and B1228) wired in series to 48V. It does not name the B1232, so ask us before planning an RV5 bank around it.

FAQ

Can I add a B300K to a Premium 200 V2?

No. BLUETTI's own FAQ says the Premium 200 V2 is not expandable and does not support power bank mode.

Can I mix B300K and B500K on one Apex 300?

Yes. BLUETTI allows mixed packs, with six in total at most.

Does the BlueCell 200 work with the Apex 300?

No. BLUETTI built the BC200 for FridgePower only.

Can I use a third-party battery as a BLUETTI expansion pack?

Not on the portable stations. Asked whether third-party expansion batteries connect to the AC200L, BLUETTI's FAQ answers "No." The RV5 is the exception: BLUETTI says it accepts third-party 48V batteries.

Which version should I pick if I own an AC300?

The "AC200L / AC300" option on our B300K or B500K listing. If you're not sure which station you have, send us the model on its label before you order. Found it cheaper? We'll beat it.
