The Victron SmartShunt is an all-in-one battery monitor with built-in Bluetooth. It installs on the battery negative and measures every amp flowing in and out, giving you a true state-of-charge percentage, time-remaining estimate, and full history in the free VictronConnect app — no separate display required.

Which size?
The 500A model covers most RV and camper systems, including 3000VA inverter setups. Choose 1000A or 2000A only if your peak system current exceeds the rating.

Which size you need
- Size it to the current through it, not to battery Ah. The battery capacity is a setting (1–9,999 Ah).
- A 12 V MultiPlus-II 12/3000 draws roughly 215 A continuous by our estimate (2,400 W at 93% efficiency), so 500 A suits most single-inverter RVs. Go to 1000 A for a 12/4000 or two inverters.
- Larger shunts have a larger zero offset: 10 mA (300/500 A), 20 mA (1000 A), 40 mA (2000 A).
- The standard version is IP21 (dry locations only). Choose IP65 where it could get wet.

- A VE.Direct cable to connect a GX device (not included).
