These black gas struts hold a lift-up door, lid, or panel open hands-free on a Black Series Dominator and let it close gently instead of slamming. Gas struts lose pressure with age and heat cycling, and the first sign is a lid that will not stay up on its own or drifts closed while you are reaching inside. Replacing tired struts restores a firm hold and smooth, controlled movement.

Installation and care
Replace struts in pairs so both sides of the lid carry equal load, and have a helper hold the lid while the old struts come off. Fit the new struts with the cylinder body uppermost where the mounting allows, and check the ball-stud mounts for wear at the same time. Keep the polished rod clean and free of dust; grit on the rod is what wears the seal and lets the gas out.
This is a genuine Black Series OEM part, so it fits the way the factory part did. It ships from our warehouse in Upland, CA.
