Faraday Defense protects a vehicle with three parts: the T.R.A.P. plug for the 12 V accessory socket, the T.R.A.P.-B for the battery terminals and high-saturation ferrites on the battery leads. Each T.R.A.P. carries a 5,000 W transient voltage suppressor with a turn-on under one picosecond, catching the brief E1/E2 spikes an EMP or a nearby lightning strike induces on the wiring, and the ferrites damp high-frequency current on the leads without saturating under normal vehicle current.
Diesel trucks and diesel motorhomes usually carry two batteries, so this kit doubles the battery-side parts: one T.R.A.P. 12V plug, two T.R.A.P.-Bs and four auto ferrites, seven pieces in all against four in the gas-vehicle kit.

Is the 7-piece kit the right one?
- Two starting batteries: this kit. One T.R.A.P. 12V, two T.R.A.P.-Bs (one per battery) and four high-saturation ferrites (two per battery). Any two-battery chassis qualifies, diesel or gas.
- One battery: the 4-piece kit is the match.
- Extra points: a T.R.A.P.-OBD2 at the diagnostic port, a T.R.A.P.-AC at the generator or inverter outlet.
