The Victron Lynx Smart BMS is a battery management system for Victron lithium battery banks that monitors and protects the batteries while acting as the intelligent hub of a Lynx DC distribution system. It manages charging and discharging, disconnects the bank on fault conditions, and reports detailed status over Bluetooth and to a connected GX device.
Available in 500A and 1000A ratings, plus newer NG variants, it can be matched to the current demands of the system. It is a core component for RV, marine, and off-grid installations built around Victron lithium batteries, providing safe, coordinated control alongside a Cerbo GX and VRM. Which version you need
- Lynx Smart BMS NG (500 A or 1000 A): only for Victron Lithium NG batteries.
- Pre-NG Lynx Smart BMS: only for the earlier Victron Lithium Smart batteries. Check your battery label.
- The NG version has a built-in contactor, a pre-charge circuit for inverter inrush, a battery monitor, Bluetooth and VE.Can, and an alternator mode that cuts the alternator before the battery.
What you also need
- M10 Lynx Distributors for the battery and load fuses. It can monitor up to four of them.
